    To be short, Grace Baptist Church, was the resurrected church of Midway Baptist Church.  In 2005, Midway Baptist Church was a dying soon to be dead church.  The attendance of the church was nearly a handful and the tithes of the members where unable to keep the doors open. The Mother church of Midway no longer saw a reason to keep the doors open so they closed the church. 

    That's where Grace is found.  At that Sunday morning worship when it was announced the doors of the church would be closed, Bro. Joe Shannon, was in attendance, led by the Lord with a burden to help Midway.  With the announcement of the doors to be closed came a windstorm of frustration and zeal to do whatever it took to see those doors back open and a community reached with the Gospel. 

    Soon after, Bro. Joe, began small Bible Studies in home, which grew.  With the growth in the Bible Study came the gained support of the burden the Lord had given. Within several months of the start of Bible studies, gatherers moved to the former parsonage of Midway Church, and within one month of moving to the parsonage they were in the church building with a new name, Grace Baptist Church.

Our first Sunday Morning Worship Service was November 12, 2006, as a Mission Church.

Our first Sunday Morning Worship as a Constituted Church was August 26, 2007.
